Patrick was appointed CEO of AAIPharma Services in 2010 and brings nearly 30 years of executive leadership to the company. He will focus on AAIPharma Services' next phase of strategic growth and expansion as a global contract service provider. Before he joined AAIPharma Services, Patrick served in numerous executive leadership roles including CEO of Kadmus Pharmaceuticals, President and COO of Gensia Sicor, CEO of a specialty diagnostic company, and he led the U.S. and international business groups for Fujisawa USA following its acquisition of Lyphomed, Inc. Most recently, Pat co-founded a management consulting firm that assisted companies with achieving key corporate objectives in the pharmaceutical, contract manufacturing and biotechnology industries. Patrick has served as a board of director to numerous pharmaceutical, manufacturing and biotechnology companies and as Chairman of the Board in four companies.
He is active in numerous trade, industry, and charitable organizations and is active in the youth soccer community as a club coach and mentor. In college, he played in a NCAA final four soccer tournament and holds an advanced coaching license.
Paul has served as an entrepreneur and leader in contract pharmaceutical companies, startups and evolving product development organizations. Under his direction, teams have successfully influenced the discovery of novel therapeutics and development of clinical stage programs, participated in the commercial launch of new products and provided high-quality pharmaceutical development services. Paul's leadership in these activities has resulted in the discovery, development and manufacture of numerous novel small molecule and peptide therapeutics. Prior to joining AAIPharma Services, Paul was President of Biopharmalogics, Inc., a provider of CMC consulting services. He previously served as EVP Pharmaceutical Operations at Irvine Pharma Services, Vice President of Pharmaceutical Development at Arena Pharmaceuticals, Executive Director of Structural Chemistry at Magellan Laboratories, Inc. and Executive Director of Pharmaceutical Development at Cabrillo Laboratories. Paul received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California at San Diego.
Tim has over 25 years of sales and marketing leadership experience in the healthcare industry and brings a diversified experience base in both product and service offerings in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Before joining AAIPharma Services in September 2010, he was President and CEO of Express, a specialty provider of logistics services to hospitals, laboratories and ancillary service businesses in healthcare. Tim has also served in executive roles with several Fortune 50 healthcare companies including as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cardinal Health’s Specialty Pharmaceutical Services division. This division provided outsourced services for emerging and mid-tier pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Tim received his BA from Central State University in Oklahoma.
Scott has more than 30 years experience as a business transactional attorney. Prior to joining AAIPharma Services, he was in private practice focused on assisting clients with negotiating, coordinating and consummating a variety of commercial transactions. Scott was appointed by the Attorney General of Ohio to represent the investment fund of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, which had more than $60 billion in assets under investment. He was also appointed by President Clinton in 1995 to serve as one of three US representatives on a bi-lateral diplomatic committee resolving issues related to the transfer of control of the Panama Canal. He holds a JD and MBA from Ohio State University. Scott is also a member of the Ohio Bar.
Michael joins AAIPharma Services with more than 27 years of information technology experience, including extensive experience in manufacturing environments. Most recently Michael was the Global Director, Information Technology, at Control Components Inc., a supplier of highly engineered products and services to the power, oil and gas and petrochemical industries. In addition, Michael previously led the Information Technology organizations for MGE UPS Systems - NA, a leading provider of power management solutions and services; BE Aerospace In-Flight Entertainment Division, a developer of in-flight entertainment systems for long-haul commercial airlines; and Ciba-Geigy Composite Materials Division, a manufacturer and supplier of composite materials for the aerospace and defense industries. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Rob was named Vice President, Manufacturing Operations at AAIPharma Services in October 2011 after having served as Vice President, Business Development since January 2011 and Vice President, Corporate Accounts prior to that. He has 30 years of experience with proven leadership in business development, sales and marketing, business operations, facility management and corporate accounts. His experience spans proprietary pharmaceuticals, critical care generics, parenteral contract manufacturing, bio-assay diagnostics, and pharmaceutical development services. Early pharmaceutical experience includes positions at CIBA-Geigy, LyphoMed, Fujisawa USA and Gensia Sicor. His recent career has focused on the pharmaceutical services industry. Rob graduated with a BS degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, where he attended on athletic scholarships.
Burton brings more than 25 years of experience to AAIPharma Services. His financial management expertise is focused predominately in manufacturing environments. Prior to joining AAIPharma Services, he served as a Senior Manager of Finance, Business & Manufacturing for Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions LLC, a Baxter Healthcare company that provides contract manufacturing services to pharmaceutical companies. He was also Senior Director of Finance for the Pharmaceutical Development division of AAIPharma, Inc. Burton holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Mississippi.
Dean joined AAIPharma, Inc. originally in June 1992 as a Senior Scientist. He received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Georgetown University and did his post-doctoral research at the University of Tennessee as a Research Associate. His areas of interest are HPLC, GC, chiral separation, preparative chromatography and optimization of experimental conditions in chromatography. With more than 50 publications in well known scientific journals and authoring a book titled "Fundamentals of Preparative and Nonlinear Chromatography", Dean is a nationally-recognized expert in the field of chromatography. He has served as Director of Method Development, Divisional Director, and most recently Senior Director of the Analytical Group.
